Parents and Students,
Our school principal, Mrs. Generette-Walker, has charged the World Language Department, Mrs. Wilder and myself, to research and propose an international tour for our French and Spanish students. To this end, we have selected a ten-day excursion with CHA (Cultural Heritage Alliance), a leader in educational travel, to guide our first international educational tour, "Paris to the Pyrenees."
As proposed, the trip will occur Spring 2015 (March 7th through March 16th). Top-notch transportation, a full-time professional tour director, quality hotel accommodations and meals, and comprehensive sightseeing with expert guides are included in the total cost. The "Early Bird Discount" for students who enroll by May 30th and pay the non-refundable registration fee of $95.00 is $3,341.00. For students who enroll and pay the non-refundable registration fee of $95.00 after 5/30, but before June 30th, the cost is slightly higher, $3,471.00. For parents or other adults over 22 years of age who wish to join us, the overall cost is $3,851.00. CHA handles all payment arrangements and fees; monies are tendered directly to the tour company via checks, money orders, and credit cards. Middle College High School will not receipt or handle any funds for this tour. At your leisure, the full fee for travel can be paid to CHA weekly, monthly, or in one lump sum to accommodate family budgets. However, the complete fee must be paid 110 days in advance of the trip (roughly around Thanksgiving 2014). It is worth noting that a passport is required for international travel for all students and adults (not included in the total cost referenced above). As a gift to all Spanish students who enroll and pay the travel fees, I will pay the cost of their passport applications.
The link below details how each day will be spent during our travel, as well as, the costs associated with the travel for students and adults:
